Throughout this life, I've been lucky to cross paths with incredible people in classrooms, at work, and even on quiet walking trails. The connections I’ve made go far beyond water-cooler small talk. These are people who show up, in moments of deep grief, overwhelming joy, or just to share wildly inappropriate humor.

I’m energized by the realness people bring into the world. Not the polished personas, but the unfiltered, honest, soul-baring kind of energy. That's what sticks with me.

To the founders and leaders in my network: don't forget to make time for your “forever people.”

Step away. Share a laugh, a drink, a walk. Reconnect. Refuel.

A wise man recently reminded me that a founder is a company's greatest asset and that burnout doesn't just creep in, it derails. The antidote? Rest.

So we are in Connecticut to celebrate the wedding of one of my favorite couples. There will be love, laughter, and likely some material for future posts.
