If you never fail, you're not trying hard enough.

We all need a mirror placed in front of us at times. A reminder that there is always room to learn and improve, no matter how long we've been in a role, how many degrees we've earned, or what level of success (or failure) we've experienced. Being a leader doesn't mean you are always right.
The hardest part? Taking responsibility for our own growth.
Growth isn't a one-time milestone; it's a daily practice. It's carving out time to sharpen our skills, pushing beyond what feels comfortable, and embracing the stumbles along the way.
And here's the truth: if we're giving feedback or criticism, we must be willing to review our own practices first. Negativity for the sake of enforcing rules that only apply to some is a failed pattern, and it erodes trust.
Life is a game of inches. Accountability matters, and if we expect it from others, we must first hold ourselves to the same standard.
Growth isn't optional. It's the fuel for progress.
