Realign for 2026

Let's talk about fear, especially as we step into a new year.

Does fear paralyze you… Or does it invite you to begin again?

So many people stay in roles, companies, or even relationships not because they're right, but because they're familiar. The unknown can feel heavy, especially when change keeps showing up uninvited.

Recently, a friend since childhood reached out to me and admitted they were exhausted by it all: a job loss, a shift in a relationship, tension with family and friends. Not one big moment, but a series of changes that made the future feel uncertain and scary.

And I get it.

When I look back on the moments in my life where fear was the loudest, they weren't about the day-to-day stressors we often focus on. They were moments that stopped me in my tracks and forced reflection:

**When my child went through a dark and painful period in high school, and I realized I couldn't protect him from everything.

**When I nearly fell off a mountain during a hike in Banff, I felt the fragility of life in a single breath.

**When I launched Vetta Insights, starting fresh on my own, with no guarantees beyond belief and purpose.

Each of those moments carried fear, but they also brought clarity. They asked me to slow down, look inward, and reconnect with what truly matters.

Fear doesn't always mean stop.

Sometimes it means reset.

It can realign priorities.

Create space for something new.

Remind us of our resilience.

And help us step into a version of ourselves we haven't met yet.

If you're entering this year feeling uncertain, tired of change, uneasy about what's next, know this: starting fresh doesn't require having all the answers. It just needs the courage to take the next honest step.

Your next chapter might not be waiting despite the fear…

It might be waiting because of it.

Cheers to you all for a fabulous 2026!

**Actual evidence of my death slide down the mountain, note, I bent the heck out of my poles too
