When I started my career, I thought I’d become an attorney. Life had other plans. Instead, I built a career with companies such as Cisco, Microsoft, McAfee, and Twilio.
It wasn't always easy. Obstacles tested me. Opportunities stretched me. Along the way, I made life-changing money, earned accolades, and traveled to incredible places. But the true gift? The people. Some remain lifelong friends, others taught me tough lessons about who I do not want to be.
And yet, I walked away.
We need to normalize taking risks. Walking away from the “expected path” isn’t failure, it’s growth.
Today, I'm not driven by titles, logos, or Club trips. I'm driven by impact. By helping others grow, succeed, and thrive. By choosing trust, authenticity, and courage over politics and pretense.
To anyone at a crossroads: your worth isn't defined by the name on your badge or the title on your LinkedIn. Sometimes the bravest, smartest thing you can do is bet on yourself.
