Whether I was climbing the ladder in corporate America or now walking the entrepreneurial path, one thing has remained constant: I believe in helping others.
Sometimes that’s meant giving up short-term revenue. Sometimes it's just lending time, insight, or an introduction. But for me, connection has never been about a transactional return; it’s rooted in a deep belief in the power of empowerment.
I come from humble beginnings. My career has been rich with opportunities, meaningful work, and extraordinary growth, which didn't happen in a vacuum. It was shaped and supported by mentors, leaders, colleagues, and friends who saw something in me and gave me their time, wisdom, or advocacy. I'll never take that for granted.
Last year, I joined a leadership think tank called CREW (shoutout to the amazing friend who nudged me to apply). I wasn't sure what to expect, but I've been blown away.
In just the past two weeks alone, I've been:
**Asked to speak on thought leadership topics
**Referred new clients
**Invited to co-lead a panel session
**And reminded of the joy of genuine support and friendship
When you leave the structure of a big company, you don't always realize how much you'll miss the daily engagement, the hallway conversations, the brainstorming over coffee, the sense of “we." But with CREW, I've found a community of powerful, intelligent, values-driven leaders who challenge, support, and improve me.
We head to Austin in early June for our next in-person cohort, and I can't wait. It’ll be days filled with learning, collaboration, growth, and fun. Real connection, the kind that sustains you.
If you're in corporate America and craving more purposeful engagement, or if you've stepped into entrepreneurship and are feeling the weight of “going it alone”, this might be exactly what you're looking for.
Reach out. Let's talk. I'd be happy to share more about my experience with CREW and help you explore if it's the right fit for you, too.
